From Separate Tools to Operating System
Employment Hero was evolving. The business strategy shifted from selling individual HR tools to offering a complete "Employment Operating System" (EmploymentOS)—a central hub for recruitment, payroll, and benefits.
The legacy website was rigid and page-based. It couldn't support this new interconnected narrative. I was tasked with building a new web experience from scratch that felt fluid, interconnected, and modular.
The old website

Designing and delivering a Scalable Block System
To support the "OS" strategy, I moved away from designing static pages. Instead, I designed a library of atomic content blocks. These blocks act as the building blocks for the entire website, allowing the marketing team to spin up new landing pages in minutes, not days.

Architecting the Discovery Path
With a massive product suite, navigation is risky. If it's too complex, users bounce. I designed a Mega-Menu structure that categorises the OS into clear pillars: Hiring, HR, Payroll, and Benefits. This aligns with the user's organisational structure, not just our internal product names.

A Pocket-Sized System
The modular block system paid off immediately on mobile. Because every component was designed with a responsive-first grid, the complex desktop layouts naturally reflow into a single-column mobile experience without breaking the visual hierarchy.

The Impact
The new site didn't just look better; it performed. By modularising the design, we reduced the engineering time required to launch new product pages and aligned the digital experience with the company's new "EmploymentOS" market position.
